Scam Call Notification

(Houghton County, MI) The Houghton County Sheriff's Office has been made aware of a recent phone scam.  The caller(s) of the scam are identifying as members of the Michigan Sheriff’s Association (MSA). 

The Houghton County Sheriff's Office and the Michigan Sheriff’s Association DO NOT solicit money over the phone.  The MSA does send mailers but do not use calls to solicit donations. 

Please do not give any personal information over the phone.
